Shopify: connect your online store with the Lengow app

3'

We’ve paired up with Shopify to develop a Lengow app that’s compatible with Shopify and Shopify Plus. This allows both Shopify users and Lengow customers to optimise their product catalogue management within our platform.

Shopify: the world’s 4th largest ecommerce solutions platform

With an estimated revenue of between $1,045 – $1,055 billion for 2018, Shopify is now available in 175 countries. As it gains more and more followers, it has no fewer than 2,400 applications on its platform – including Lengow.

Thanks to its ease of use and the simplicity of its interface, Shopify also attracts large companies through its Shopify Plus service. This uses cloud data storage to manage your account, including fixing bugs and adding features.

Why use the app?

After launching a beta version earlier this year, the Lengow app for Shopify is now open to all online retailers, and is available in all countries that Shopify operates in. With the app, you can quickly export your product data from your online store, then distribute your catalogue on your chosen marketing channels, as well as centralise orders placed on marketplaces.

To help you take your business to the next level, Lengow offers over 1,800 marketing channels to sell on, including marketplaces, price comparison sites, retargeting and affiliation platforms and Product Ads.

How do I install the Lengow app for Shopify?

Firstly, make sure you wait for a time when your business is a bit quieter to install the Lengow app for Shopify and Shopify Plus. Take some time to get to know the different features before installing.

To install the app, you have to go to the Shopify app store and click on “Add App” to get it. Once the app is installed, go to the “Application” section of your back office and select “Lengow” to go to our platform and connect your Lengow account to Shopify.

Once you’ve done this, you can import the entirety of your Shopify catalogue into Lengow, which you can then find in the “catalogs” section.

How do I use the Lengow app for Shopify and Shopify Plus?

Manage your products

No specific configuration is required when setting up the Lengow app for Shopify. All you need to do is select the products you want to sell directly within our platform. If you then want to add, delete or edit certain products from your back office, this will be automatically synchronised within our platform.

Once the app is installed, you won’t need to update your product catalogues, as these will be automatically managed by Lengow within our platform. If you want to keep track of this, you can also manually update your entire catalogue from the “Catalogs” tab within Lengow.

Manage your orders

If you sell your products on marketplaces, all orders placed on these platforms can be managed within your back office.

To do this, go to your Shopify back office and then to the “Orders” section. Here, you will find all of your orders as well as those sent by Lengow. By clicking on an order, you will be able to see more details about its origin. The “Additional Details” section consolidates the data that Lengow takes from marketplaces, such as name, SKU, whether or not shipment is managed by the marketplace, etc.

Be careful when processing your first orders. If you have errors on an order, they will show in the Lengow platform but will not be imported into Shopify. You should regularly consult your “Orders” section on Lengow and make sure that you do not have any errors on any orders, such as a missing field in the delivery address, or a non-existent product variation.

To find out the reason for the error, a message will appear in the order details. Once it’s been corrected, you just have to re-synchronise it to find it in your Shopify back office.

Errors are indicated by a red banner and an exclamation point on the order log in your Lengow account:

Lastly, it’s worth noting that all transactions made in your Shopify back office (sending or cancelling orders) are automatically sent to Lengow, then to the marketplace.
