Since 2009, Lengow has been enabling e-merchants to distribute their products on the largest European marketplaces. To broaden its offer and respond to market trends, Lengow will provide e-merchants the opportunity to develop their business on the top Chinese global e-commerce marketplace, AliExpress.

Major player AliExpress consolidates its European market share

Launched in 2010, the Alibaba-owned B2C powerhouse, which offers millions of products at ultra-competitive prices and has served more than 150 million buyers worldwide, is investing in Europe.

AliExpress opened its marketplace to welcome non-Chinese sellers in March 2019. Implementing its ‘local to global’ strategy, Western e-retailers from Spain, Italy, Turkey and Russia can now sell their products through the online platform. AliExpress targets Spain to consolidate its market share in Europe; it opened its first brick-and-mortar store selling Chinese and Spanish brandsin Madrid and partnered with roughly 10,000 Spanish retailers in 2019.

AliExpress sells products on its website and mobile application, offering a purchasing experience adapted to European standards in terms of ergonomics, translation, partnerships, and customer support. The platform is tapping into international influencers to consolidate its worldwide audience.

It is now possible to sell on AliExpress via Lengow

Through this rare collaboration between AliExpress and a European player, Lengow enables online merchants and distributors from eligible countries in Europe to expand into the global market; AliExpress currently counts 20 million daily visitors from over 200 countries and regions.

We are delighted to offer AliExpress to the 4,600 brands and retailers using Lengow’s platform. Through this rare collaboration with AliExpress, we open new perspectives for our merchants“, explains Mickael Froger, CEO of Lengow.

Always committed to offering new opportunities to its customers, Lengow benefits from numerous partnerships with leading e-commerce players. AliExpress joins Lengow’s extensive ecosystem of partner marketplaces, enabling the major Chinese player to access a force of brands and distributors in Europe.

“France is a key market for AliExpress, we believe the partnership with Lengow to introduce more French brands and products will enhance the diversity and quality of the AliExpress offerings”, explains Cheer Zhang, Global Operation Market Director, AliExpress.

Lengow’s recent European partnerships demonstrate its ability to help international platforms such as AliExpress penetrate the European market and gain visibility with European brands and distributors.

’We share not only our technological expertise, but also our unique ability to promote new channels to our portfolio of brands and retailers,” said Mickael Froger, CEO of Lengow.
