Simplify your product integration process with Amazon “Listing Loader”

2'

Online retailers are tasked with creating new product sheets when adding product catalogues to markeplaces such as Amazon. Amazon created the “Listing Loader” tool to help its sellers to save time on an otherwise time-consuming task.

What is Amazon “Listing Loader” ?

If you would like to sell your products on the Amazon marketplace, you should get familiar with “Listing Loader”.  This tool allows you to sell products that are already listed in the marketplace catalogue, by matching the products in your catalogue with corresponding products that sellers have already sold on Amazon.

To use Amazon “Listing Loader”, you will need to download a template from Amazon Seller Central where you can create your product list by filling in the following required fields : sku, price, quantity, product-id, product-id-type (EAN, UPC, ISBN, ASIN), condition-type, condition-note. Amazon will then use your product EAN (European Article Number) to match it with the corresponding product sheet. Since the product description will already be available on an existing product listing, there is no need for you to add a new product description.

The “Listing Loader” feed can be used for most categories available on Amazon, but does not allow the creation of new product feeds. To find out more, click here. Make sure to check your eligibility to sell under certain categories on the marketplace. If several products correspond to your product, use the “Listing Loader” feed to find the best match.

If your products are not on the marketplace catalogue, select the “Product Category” feed.

Note : this feed should not be used for selling compatible products on the same sheet as the original products. Sellers could otherwise offer reduced prices for different quality products on the same sheet.

“Listing Loader” and “Inventory Loader”, What’s the difference?

Although creating templates for these two feeds is a similar process, the feeds have different functions. While the “Listing Loader” feed allows you to perform basic matching for all Amazon non-media product categories, the “Inventory Loader” feed is be used for media products : Books, Music, Videos and DVD. With this, sellers are able to provide shipping conditions for their products.

Note : In addition to the required fields, optional attributes can be added into these templates.

Which Amazon feeds are available in the Lengow platform?

If you would like to set up an Amazon “Listing Loader” feed within the Lengow platform, it is available for the following countries : Canada, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, UK and US.

Please note that other feeds are also available to help you be as efficient as possible on the marketplace :

  • “Product Category” : this feed allows you to upload your products onto the marketplace. As each Amazon category has its own characteristics, it is important to refer to the “FlatFile” sheets that can be found within Amazon Seller Central.
  • “Price and quantity” : this feed makes it possible to carry out stock and price updates for products that you are already selling on the marketplace. Sent every hour to Amazon, this simplified feed offers faster processing time.
  • “Amazon Shipping Overrides” :  this feed gives you the option to create exceptions on your shipping costs by SKU. You can add additional fees to the ones set in your Seller Central and also set exclusive costs for your product. These costs replace the existing Seller Central ones and become the only shipping costs applied to the item. Finally, this feed allows you to define product-specific shipping zones by activating or deactivating certain shipping areas.
