What We Do | Anne-Sophie – communications team

We catch up with Anne-Sophie Gaborit, Events Communication Manager in Lengow’s Marketing & Communications team!

1/ Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

I’m Anne-Sophie, 33 years old, I come from Angers where I spent the first 20 years of my life… I left and my goal from then until I was around 30 was to “see the world”!

I stopped my law studies, and started a language course that will help me travel more easily. Any excuse is a good excuse to go wandering elsewhere! (Studies, internships, jobs…). I ended up in Mexico where I organised weddings for a few years. In 2015, I returned to Paris and organised medical congresses in both France and abroad. (Like I said… any excuse is a good excuse to go travelling!)

The age of reason: 31! That’s when I settled in Nantes and started my job at Lengow! 😀

2/ So, tell us about your job. What’s your biggest challenge?!

My job is enabling our sales teams to meet our customers and prospects at trade fairs, events (physical and digital), as well as via communication actions. The communications team plan an events calendar which is rolled out over a year in the different European markets.

So I take care of organising everything (logistics, service providers, communication around each event, etc.).

My biggest challenge: That each event is a success (that means that it is beautiful, happens smoothly… and is ultimately useful for participants!).

Oh, another one for the road: To succeed in renewing our brand and questioning ourselves in order to make our projects evolve.

3/ Who do you work with internally?

I work with the sales team which is based in Paris a lot. After all, we’re organising all of these events to help them in their role! At some events we also ask for some members of the support teams to accompany us. I also bother some the team a bit with expenses…

Finally, on a more or less daily basis, I’m in contact with all the marketing and creative teams to ensure we make progress on the different projects.

4/ And externally?

I’m in contact with countless service providers when we organise our own events! Then, of course, all our partners, who join us for many events. We work in collaboration with each of them individually on the communications and generating visibility…

5/ What tools do you use?

Inwink (an event platform), Mailchimp (to send beautifully designed newsletters), Stripo (to create the beautifully designed newsletters in question), Monday (to make to do lists and organise ourselves within the team on our tasks), and well… a lot of Excel files!

6/ What project(s) are you currently working on?

Lengow Day, which is just around the corner on 1st October!

The event will bring together the whole e-commerce ecosystem. This year is the 8th edition of the event and it’s taking a new form: 100% digital! Everything will take place here 👉 lengowday.com

The event is aimed at brands and retailers who wish to exchange with the largest European marketplaces (ebay, Rakuten, Joom, Allegro, Fruugo, Amazon, Cdiscount,…). They can organise 1-1 meetings via the event platform, take advantage of exceptional offers and network.

In parallel, there is also a conference programme (keynotes, round tables and workshops) on themes such as live commerce, SEO, circular e-commerce, and much more, which an impressive line-up of international speakers.

That’s what I do every day: it’s intense and full of twists and turns!

7/ Finally, if you had to choose a song that could represent Lengow?

Have you heard this one?! PLAY HERE

(ok, ok, it’s self-promotion… so what?! You’ve gotta admit, it’s the perfect rhythm to start the day with a cup of coffee in hand. 😉)
